I'm Isaac Booker, a passionate cloud engineer currently based in Nashville, TN.

With certifications spanning AWS, GCP, and Terraform, I've dedicated myself to mastering the intricacies of cloud architecture and infrastructure. I am also committed to further my education and knowledge in the field of cloud engineering.

For hobbies I enjoy exercising, playing video games, tinkering with my Home Assistant automation system and playing with my 3 year old son.

This website was built on AWS using S3, CloudFront, API Gateway, AWS Workmail and Lambda in a serverless architecture manner to be cost optimized and efficient.

    Slalom Inc., November 2021 - Feburary 2025
    • A demonstrated history of success in meeting the cloud engineering requirements of a variety of clients. Experience in large and small team environments, with varying timelines and production levels.
    • Collaborated with numerous clients through the seamless onboarding and transition of their existing workflows to AWS, optimizing processes and ensuring a smooth cloud integration experience.
    • Developed and implemented a security framework for a client's cloud infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

  • Deputy Sheriff - Jail

    Clackamas County Sheriff's Office - 2017 - 2021
    • Maintained order, discipline, and security of the facility housing over 500 inmates at any given time in both armed and unarmed roles.
    • Supervised the security, conduct and daily activities in four housing blocks totaling over 125 inmates, per assigned post.
    • Performed 100 secure transports of inmates outside the Clackamas County Jail for routine medical appointments without loss of life or incident.

  • Community Service Officer

    Clackamas County Sheriff's Office - 2014 - 2017
    • Responded to over 4,000 non-emergency calls for service each year from citizens across the entire county by telephone and in person.
    • Compiled and organized criminal reports into standard computerized formats compliant with FBI Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) standard.
